• The Conference seeks affirmation by the nuclear-weapon States that they will place, as soon as practicable, fissile material designated as no longer required for weapons purposes under IAEA or other relevant international verification, and, welcoming work already undertaken on the development of verification capabilities for nuclear disarmament, urges that such work be initiated by those nuclear-weapon States not already doing so.

• El representante de los Estados Unidos de América enmendó oralmente el proyecto de resolución proponiendo la supresión, en el párrafo 3 de la parte dispositiva de la versión inglesa, de la palabra "ordinary" sustituyendo en el párrafo 7 de la parte dispositiva la frase "a tribunal of competent, independent and impartial jurisdiction according to law" por "a higher tribunal according to law" e insertando en el párrafo 8 de la parte dispositiva la frase "where required by applicable law" después de "to ensure that such courts".
  وأجرى ممثل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تعديلاً شفوياً على مشروع القرار باقتراح حذف كلمة "العادية" في الفقرة 3 من المنطوق، وبالاستعاضة عن عبارة "هيئة قضائية مختصة ومستقلة ونزيهة وفقاً للقانون" في الفقرة 7 من المنطوق بعبارة "هيئة قضائية عليا" وفقاً للقانون، وبإدراج "حيثما يتطلب ذلك القانون المنطبق" بعد "ضمان أن تكون المحاكم" في الفقرة 8 من المنطوق.
